Bump Friendly Rompers from Amazon: My Review and Reasons Why I Love Them (or Don't)

Hey mamas!👋🏽🤰🏽 I am expecting baby #3 and I’ve been on an obsessive mission to find cute, summer, bump-friendly outfits! For my first two pregnancies, I got to layer with flannels and shackets in the winter. Being preggies in the Cali heat is new territory for me.

I purchased a few rompers as everyday-type items (basically my leggings for summer) and I’ll be reviewing which ones I love and why. I haven’t seen any influencer reviews on one (POSHDIVAH romper) while one is highly favored by other mama influencers (CRZ YOGA romper)

This was my first romper I found (POSHDIVAH romper) while browsing Amazon and immediately fell in love! I was attracted to how seamless it appears and the reviews were nearly 5 stars.

Size recommendations: I recommend ordering your pre-bump size. I ordered a size small. I am 5’1″ and 26 weeks pregnant. My overall rating: 10/10 + I’m definitely keeping.

Pros

  • It’s seamless!
  • I love that you can’t see any bra straps.
  • Not see-through!
  • It comes in 5 nice colors! (I may be suggesting to buy all 5 like I did🙃
  • I will be using these underneath flannels and shackets in the fall!

Cons

  • I need to wear a bra.
  • I dread snagging the material but it hasn’t happened 🤞🏽.
bump friendly maternity rompers for summer

After I purchased my first romper, I thought.. well I need more of these because they’re everyday must-haves! So onto the strappy cami romper. I happened to find this from other influencers on Instagram.

Size Recommendations: I recommend ordering one size up from pre-bump size. I ordered a size medium. I am 5’1″ and 26 weeks pregnant.

My overall rating: 8/10 + I’m keeping as an option in my maternity closet.

Pros

  • No need for a bra! It has built in padding.
  • I prefer the length of these shorts.
  • It comes in LOTS of colors and the selection reminds me more of workout clothing color options.

Cons

  • I’m not a fan of the built in padding. It curls when I adjust any bunches happening with the growing belly.
  • It has seams… Since it isn’t specifically for maternity wear, the seam across the waist is made to accentuate non-bump bodies.
  • The straps roll around and don’t stay put.
  • The shorts rise from time to time.
